Welcome to the Friday post for paid subscribers. This is our last recipe of the year for 2023! I have so loved being able to share these recipes with you, so thank you for reading. I hope you have a wonderful holiday (if you’re celebrating). Late next week, I’ll be back for one final post this year!
I love a sparkly beverage. Carbonation, to me, signals celebration and something special. I think this is why I wait until dinner to have my one allotted serving of sparkling water every day. It’s a little high-five to myself, a tiny, bubbly reward every night. Pathetic? Maybe. But it’s the same reason I reach for champagne to celebrate—to me (and to many people, I think) bubbles signal a special occasion.
Maybe it’s just because I’m coming off a miserable week of sickness-induced sobriety, but I cannot wait to have a glass of something sparkly tonight at dinner. I’ll know, as the first fuzz of bubbles hits my tongue, that it’s time to celebrate.
The sparkling drink I’m unveiling today is a great drink to have around during any holiday celebrations. After you make the cranberry and sage simple syrup, you can add it to a glass with prosecco, pét-nat, or just plain sparkling water. It’s delicious with any bubble you choose!
